Word From The Pastor

Where Love Grows

Have you ever stepped into a room filled with 20 three and four-year-olds? The noise, the mess, and the energy can be overwhelming. But, amid the chaos, there’s something beautiful and joyful. At CLA, Sunbeam Preschool & Childcare is blessed to have three such rooms, each one filled 5 days a week with laughter, learning, and growth.  Each week we have the privilege of serving 90 families.

For 49 years, Sunbeam has been a cornerstone of CLA, offering a safe, loving environment where children can thrive. We’ve welcomed countless little ones, giving parents the peace of mind that their children are in good hands. As Sunbeam staff, we are entrusted with the privilege of sharing Jesus’ love with these precious souls every day.

In the midst of the busyness, I have witnessed countless acts of compassion. Whether it’s praying with a parent during a challenging time, offering a listening ear, or simply comforting a child in their sadness, our team reflects the heart of Jesus. We sing songs of God’s love, we reassure them of their Heavenly Father’s care, and we strive to instill a foundation of hope and love.

Though we face challenges in our own lives, we come to work with a singular purpose—to give our best to these children who have been entrusted to our care. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Our ultimate goal is to plant seeds of faith, hope and love, praying that these seeds grow as Jesus reveals Himself to them through their life experiences.

I won’t lie; there are days when exhaustion, illness, or life’s personal challenges make us feel like we have nothing left to give. It’s easy to question if our efforts are making a difference. But then, a child will come to us with a word of love or a revelation about God’s goodness, or even just a hug - and in those moments, we are reminded that God is always with us. He walks beside us in every challenge and assures us that He is working in and through us.

I was recently reminded of this truth through a song I came across on social media. It resonated deeply with me: “It’s not much but we’ve got it all. Don’t know which is more holy, stained glass or stained clothing, steeples or tables, or hands that need holding. But one thing that I’m sure of, nothing less, God is in this sacred mess” {Instagram @brysonbreakey}

Even in the midst of the mess—the noise, the chaos, and the fatigue—let us remember that God is present. He is at work in every moment, using it all for His purpose. So, let’s embrace the mess, trust in His presence, and continue sowing seeds of faith, knowing that He will bring them to fruition. God is truly present in the sacred mess of our lives.
