First, thank you for your involvement in our Global Emphasis Days in February. Your support has been tangible and encouraging. Our guests were informative, motivating and allowed us to hear the Spirit during a time when there are many voices from our culture speaking about Israel. Together we have reached the quarter of a million-dollar mark! This is an amazing accomplishment. As we enter March, I am confident that those who have not given will, and we will still make the $300,000 mark. Sincerely, from Bansteev’s who received a van from CLA and FIRM (Fellowship of Israeli Related Ministries) who will receive our offering towards the purchase of a new property in Jerusalem, thank you for your sacrificial gifts.
I asked Anna Lindberg to give us a brief update on the women’s team that went to Guatemala in February. The men’s team left on Friday. “CLA gave me the opportunity to lead a team of 11 women to Guatemala to serve at James Project. We were able to spend time with the children & staff, helped with the traditional 15th birthday party (Quinceanera), and served in the local community. James Project provides a safe place for vulnerable children (newborns up to adults) who have been abandoned, neglected, trafficked, or abused and need care. The organization also serves widows in the local community supporting their efforts to start small businesses, get education and a fresh start to provide for their children and impact their community. James Project lives out James 1:27 tangibly and it was an honour to come alongside and serve with our team encouraging the staff and house parents who look after the children. This is a special place where God is moving in big ways, changing children’s lives, providing a safe and nurturing place. I highly recommend getting involved with this ministry and coming on a team one day.”
