What if Jesus came back in 10 years? If we knew He was coming, and coming soon, what would we do?
These were the questions that Jennie Allen started to ask as the vision started to brew for what would become GATHER25. Fueled by the fire that there are currently 2.5 billion people who know Jesus and call Him Lord in the world. Which means that there are over 5 billion people who don’t know Jesus. Throughout the gospels and the writings of scripture there is this highlighted theme of the return of the Lord happening at a time and hour that we won’t know or expect. What if He came back soon?
Jesus has one prayer that has still yet to be answered. That is the prayer out of John 17 for His people to be unified.
And in our current moment, when I ask people who don’t know Jesus what their thoughts are of the church, UNITY would not be what comes to mind. We are more divided than ever.

We are more divided in our world than ever. But CLA, what would it look like if we joined the global church? If we gathered the whole body of Christ together for prayer? To witness and encourage and give testimony to what God is doing on the earth. To worship and intercede for the nations to know who the King of the universe is. Recently I heard this quote from Thomas Merton “the biggest human temptation is to settle for too little”. It’s taking the promises and expectations of what God can do, what my life could be, what could be possible and lower those expectations and settle for less than all God has for us. But…what if we went all in?
